Remote and distributed field operations, oil and gas sites, utility crews, and construction jobs spread across a state or a country, all share one challenge. The people running the job are often nowhere near headquarters, and the tools they use to report back home are usually the same everywhere: a clipboard, a paper checklist, and a phone call.

KS Industries, known as KSI, is a construction and field services company with about 5,000 employees, running job sites that include oil production locations hundreds of miles from headquarters. A clipboard and a pencil offer little help coordinating and collaborating on a job site that far from home.
Before TrackVia, KSI relied on paper forms and checklists that were frequently out of date, inaccurate, or both. That led to real problems. Projects were delayed. Clients were left in the dark about progress. The company risked falling short of safety requirements, or worse, someone getting hurt.
