Start with a foundation and use emails to slowly tell the story and let it unfold. A good newsletter can be a great way to do this, but you should make sure that it is more than a simple summary. Each newsletter you send should include something free for the viewer like a tip or a strategy that your readers can use, as well as a call to action to brings them back to your main website, blog, or product.

3. Get to Know Your Customers.

It’s easy to focus on your brand or the sale, but neither of those things exist without the customer. It’s important to take a moment to focus on your customer and really acquaint yourself with the person you want to buy your product. Ways of doing this can vary from sending out a short survey to fill out about their likes, dislikes, and how to improve your products and services to studying reports on purchasing behaviors. Take time to thank them for their time and feedback. Offer a discount on future purchases. Though these actions may not lead to a direct monetary gain, you will gain very important indirect benefits.

This is a great way to give back to your steady readers. Your readers have given you their contact information and they continue to receive the results of your marketing campaign. Therefore you should take the time to give back to them. By giving this offers to your loyal audience and only offering them for a limited time, you will not only give back to your readers, but through them sharing their experience with your company you will gain more customers.

5. Integrate with other facets.

This tip is as simple as it gets. One of the goals of any marketing campaign is to get a more complete customer/prospect profile. Therefore your CRM system needs to be integrated with all marketing channels, departments, and other potential touch points that will connect you with your target audience.
