BAM! New TrackVia Express Enhancements Will Blow Your Mind


Let’s start this blog post with a story… Imagine you oversee a sales team, and you want to create a pipeline report in TrackVia Express that you and your team are focused on this quarter.

That’s certainly easy enough. But, you don’t want to create a report for each of your dozen team members; you just want one report that displays only the prospects that are assigned to each team member. In other words, you want a report view that dynamically changes based on the person viewing the report. Mary sees her stuff. Bob only sees his stuff, and so on.

That would be pretty powerful and cool, right? TrackVia Express can do that now, and it’s incredibly easy to set up.

New features and enhancements in TrackVia Express

1. User Field: We’ve added a new table field called “TrackVia User”, which is pre-loaded with every user in your account and allows you to quickly pick them from a drop-down list. As you add or remove users from your account, the drop-down list automatically updates. As I mentioned in our imaginary story, you can also use this field to create filters and dynamic views for all your users.


2. Unique ID Field: Many customers told us they needed a unique, sequential and persistent way to identify and keep track of records as they added them. So we added a new “Auto Counter” field that allows you set a unique and persistent identifier to each new record. Use it to create and track work orders, asset tags, customer requests—you name it. You can start out at 1, 100 or whatever you like, and each time you add a new record TrackVia will automatically sequentially increment by 1 (e.g., “1, 2, 3…” or “100, 101, 102…”). And it’s persistent, which means if you delete a record, you’ll know which one.


3. Even Better Navigation: We’ve made several improvements to make TrackVia Express even faster and easier to navigate and use. Some of this new navigation you may notice, like new icons to make finding things easier and more obvious. Others will be more subtle. All the changes were the result of direct feedback from users, so a big THANK YOU to all of our customers for helping make TrackVia Express even better.

These are just a few of the many new things we’ve added and improved within TrackVia Express. There are many more new things on the horizon I can’t wait to share with you. But I’ve been sworn to secrecy, so you’re just going to have to wait. The good news is that you won’t have to wait long. As you’ve probably figured out, we’ve set a pretty aggressive development pace, rolling out new features and enhancements every several weeks. So stay tuned, the best is yet to come.
