Did you Know?

Dear Customer,

Spring cleaning at Trackvia has just gotten underway and the changes we have made are just the beginning. The User Interface facelift has been well received and now we are excited to announce the addition of relational fields. This gives you the ability to create a link between one field in a Trackvia database to records in other databases.

With the launch of relational fields, we would also like to announce our April Promotion. During the month of April, you can strengthen your relationships with your database contacts by sending out a free email campaign. Read more about the promotion and what we have been up to at Trackvia in this April edition of our newsletter.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or comments!

Sincerely,

Matt Strenz

Relational Databases

We have heard from many of you how great it would be to have the ability to link records from one database to another. We've been saying it is coming and now it is here!

If you're new to working with databases, the idea behind relational fields is to streamline your data structure, reducing the potential human errors created when data is duplicated and not updated. For example, if you have a Company Database and a Leads Database you can now link the Company Names in the Company Database to the individuals in your Leads Database eliminating the need to update and enter the Company Name in both! We've added an overview of relational databases to our website. Learn more about relational database fields

A few things to remember when linking database records:
  • You have the ability to create a many to one relationship
  • Initial linking field types are: record locator, short answer, number, url, email address
  • You can convert an existing field type ("change field type") to relational field type ("link to parent record")

We encourage you to sign up for an upcoming webinar on relational fields or contact us at support@trackvia.com with any questions related to this new feature. For those that currently don't need relational field types, continue using Trackvia as you have in the past.

User Interface Customization

All Trackvia administrators can now customize the account's User Interface with their company logo and colors. You can update your acccount to reflect your brand standards in 3 easy steps

  1. Click on the Setup link in the upper right hand corner
  2. Go to the Account Settings Tab
  3. In the second section, "Custom Logo and Colors", upload your logo and change the background and font color for your titles
